Baking with cannabis can seem daunting, especially if you’re not particularly adept in the kitchen to begin with.
Thankfully, cooking with cannabis is fairly straight forward. Here, we’ll deliver some easy to bake cannabis edibles.
We’ll assume you’ve already got your hands on some cannabis butter, either from a trusted vendor or prepared yourself from some dry bud.
All these recipes fall well into the ‘easy’ category, but each with its own unique charm.
For baking in general, and especially when cooking with cannabis, a scale for weighing ingredients is necessary. This will also ensure a consistent and tracked dosage of your cannabis treats.
Canna Shortbreads
A classic Scottish cookie recipe that’s too easy to mess up. The essence of these cookies traditionally comes from the fresh butter, so expect to have an up-front cannabis flavor from these treats.
Ingredients
● ¼ cup of sugar
● ½ cup cannabutter
● 1 ½ cups flour
Method
Preheat oven to 375°F
Beat the cannabutter and sugar together until smooth and mixed well
Add the flour and mix well until a smooth paste forms
From here, you can roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes
Or, you can pack the mix into a baking pan and slice into slabs after baking
Chill for 20 minutes in the fridge
Bake for 15-20 minutes until only just starting to brown
